I am a graduate student in the Department of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences working in the Infant Lab under the direction of Dr. James Morgan.
Before coming to Brown, I taught English in Japan on the JET Program in Inba Village in Chiba Prefecture and at Wayo Konodai Girls School.
I did my undergraduate work in Linguistics at Binghamton University. During college I spent a semester in Paris studying at The Sorbonne.
In the summer of 2007, I was a National Science Foundation East Asia and Pacific Summer Institute (EAPSI) fellow and had the privelage of working in Prof Kazuo Hiraki's Baby Lab at the Univerisy of Tokyo.
My research interests are in language acquisiton, joint attention and gaze behavior. I am specifically interested in the predictive value of gaze behavior on language development and its relation to autism spectrum disorders.
